Who we are

Since 1995 Paul Johnson and Tami Mulik and Allen and Jeanie Curtes have been welcoming guests to Gull Cove.

Gull Cove is home for Paul and Tami and together with their children Rick and Alice, they open their home to you during your stay at Gull Cove. Older son Tim also helps out when he is not commercial fishing in Bristol Bay.

Paul has been guiding trips throughout the Glacier Bay region and the waters around Chichagof and Yakobi Islands since 1974 and is well known for his knowledge of the area. Paul makes every effort to make sure his guests enjoy the total experience of exploring these waters. The history, wildlife, and culture are brought to life with Paul's stories.

Allen and Jeanie Curtes moved to Alaska in 1976, living in Anchorage and Haines. Since 1985 they have been returning to Southeast Alaska and entertaining groups from Wisconsin and Minnesota with Paul Johnson. Starting in 1996, Al and Jeanie joined the Gull Cove team with Paul and Tami and have been guiding trips on the Yakobi throughout the Icy Strait region.
